Wildwood Academy Welcomes Principal Gord Truffen

We are thrilled to officially announce Gord Truffen as our current Principal! While Mr. Truffen joined the Wildwood team in August, he has spent the past four months working closely with Mr. Hamilton to ensure a seamless transition for our students, families, and staff.

Mr. Truffen brings with him over 30 years of experience in teaching and educational leadership, primarily within the Halton District School Board. Throughout his career, he has held various key roles, including Principal and Superintendent of Education. As Superintendent, Mr. Truffen oversaw a family of schools, led the Information Services IT department, and managed the Welcome Centre for newcomer families and international students. Mr. Truffen shares Wildwood Academy’s philosophy of education: he firmly believes in the potential of every student to thrive in the right learning environment. Since his arrival, he has already been fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere, earning the admiration of both staff and students. Mr. Truffen’s energy and passion for education are evident in all his interactions with staff, students and families.
