Gord Truffen

I am in my third year at Wildwood Academy, and I absolutely love being the principal here. I bring more than 30 years of experience in teaching and educational leadership, beginning with my work in Outdoor and Alternative Education supporting diverse learners.

I later served as a Vice‑Principal and Principal in the Halton District School Board, followed by my role as Superintendent of Education. In that position, I oversaw a Family of Schools, led the Information Services Department, and managed the Welcome Centre for newcomer families and international students.

I believe deeply in the potential of every student to thrive when they are supported by the right environment. My focus is on building a positive, inclusive, and collaborative culture for students, staff, and families.
