Laurel Greig

Homeroom Teacher

I joined Wildwood Academy in 2024 and have enjoyed being part of its inclusive, welcoming, and collaborative community.

I graduated from Bishop’s University with a Bachelor of Arts in Education Studies (Elementary) and a Bachelor of Education before traveling abroad to teach in London, England for two years. Upon returning to Canada, I taught at a private school in Mississauga as a Grade 5/6 Homeroom Teacher and Environmental Education Teacher for Grades 1 through 8. During this time, I also led a variety of extracurricular programs, including Yearbook, Ski Day, and the Downie Wenjack Foundation Legacy School Program.

As a lifelong learner, I’m passionate about continuing my professional growth. I have completed the ABA for Educators Level 1 course through the Geneva Centre for Autism/Sonderly, Special Education Specialist qualification, an Additional Basic Qualification in Intermediate Geography, and Part 1 of the Orton-Gillingham (OG) Multi-Sensory Structured Literacy program.

My teaching philosophy centers on meeting the unique needs of every learner, fostering a safe and inclusive environment, and helping students develop strong social-emotional skills that support their growth both in and out of the classroom.
